Disney Cruise Line brings a preview of the Disney Adventure to India for the first time

Mumbai (13 June, 2025) – Disney Cruise Line is making waves in India with the debut of “Gateway to Adventure” – a consumer activation showcasing the Disney Adventure, which will be the cruise line’s first ship to homeport in Singapore at the end of this year.

Opening to the public from June 14, 2025, at Jio World Drive mall in Mumbai, India, “Gateway to Adventure” will be a free-to-enter experience that invites guests of all ages to explore interactive zones inspired by the Disney Adventure’s seven themed areas – which bring to life Disney, Pixar, and Marvel favorites.

Entering the “Gateway to Adventure”

The activation spaces, located on the ground floor and first floor of the mall, will provide guests with a sneak peek into the experiences available on the Disney Adventure.

At “Gateway to Adventure”, guests can look forward to exploring an installation inspired by the three-story high storybook castle located in the ship’s Disney Imagination Garden. There will also be a life-sized Iron Man replica at Marvel Landing – which, on the ship, is a designated adventure zone that houses three all-new attractions onboard. Town Square, which celebrates Disney royals on the Disney Adventure, comes to life as an Instagram-worthy spot here. Guests will also have the opportunity to discover more about the Big Hero 6 family entertainment area located on San Fransokyo Street.

More photo opportunities will be available at Jio World Drive mall’s TGCO Monsoon Hangar, featuring the iconic Disney Cruise ship’s funnel along with other photogenic spaces inspired by Toy Story Place, Wayfinder Bay, and the Disney Discovery Reef. Additionally, Thomas Cook and the SOTC travel agency will set up booths at the TGCO Monsoon Hangar to facilitate travel inquiries and assist guests interested in booking a vacation on the Disney Adventure. Alternatively, guests also have the option to book directly from the Disney Cruise Line website, through the Disney Cruise Line contact center, or with their preferred travel agents.

A special edition Marvel Comic to celebrate the Disney Adventure

Today, Disney Cruise Line also announced that in celebration of the inaugural season of the Disney Adventure, Marvel Comics will be publishing a new Special Edition of Amazing Adventures #1— an all-original 32-page collectors’ comic featuring Spider-Man, the Avengers, and a host of Marvel’s finest Super Heroes – many who will be found onboard the ship. Complimentary copies of the Amazing Adventures comic will be made available exclusively to all guests in their staterooms on board selected sailings.

The Amazing Adventures Special Editions 2025 comic will be authored and illustrated by a team led by writer Alyssa Wong, recognized for their work on the 2020 Marvel comic book series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra and the 2022 Deadpool comic book series. Marvel Comics has also teamed up with legendary comic book artist Leinil Francis Yu, who has extensive experience in illustrating Marvel characters, including the co-creation of the first Filipino Marvel Super Hero Wave, to provide cover art for this exclusive comic book.

Marvel’s Amazing Adventures series was first introduced as an anthology-style comic book series in the 1960s. The 2025 Special Edition that will be available on the Disney Adventure not only pays tribute to the title’s historical significance in the Marvel comic legacy but also celebrates Disney Cruise Line’s major milestone of being the first Disney Cruise Line shop to homeport in Asia.

Calling all Marvel fans at Jio World Mall

Fans of Marvel can head over to the Marvel Landing interactive space at “Gateway to Adventure” for a preview of the comic’s cover art.

The "Gateway to Adventure" at Jio World Drive is open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM with free admission and will continue until July 6, 2025.
