Siliguri, West Bengal — Rozgar Mela 2.0, organised by the Darjeeling Welfare Society under the leadership of Hon’ble MP Shri Harshvardhan Shringla ji, witnessed an inspiring turnout as more than 9,000 enthusiastic young aspirants participated to explore meaningful career opportunities. The event furthered Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of empowering India’s youth with access to sustainable employment pathways.

The job fair was graced by several eminent dignitaries, including the Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal Shri C.V. Ananda Bose, MP Shri Samik Bhattacharya (President, BJP Bengal), MP Dr. Jayanta Kumar Roy, Shri Ram Lal (Rashtriya Sah-Sampark Pramukh), MLA Shri Anandamay Barman, MLA Smt. Sikha Chatterjee, and MLA Shri Durga Murmu. A virtual address was also delivered by Ms. Shobha Karandlaje, Union Minister of State for MSME, Labour & Employment. THSC extends sincere gratitude to Father (Dr.) Babu Joseph, Principal, Salesian College Siliguri, for extending support to the event.

As the Knowledge Partner, the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) proudly collaborated with the Darjeeling Welfare Society and CIEL HR for this mega employment initiative. THSC played a central role in strengthening industry participation by mobilizing 24+ leading employers from the hospitality and tourism sector. In total, 55+ companies participated, including industry leaders like Indigo Airlines, Taj, Apollo Sindoori, Sterling Holidays, Devyani Group, Barbeque Nation, Absolute Barbecue, PVR, Compass Group, Sodexo, Club Mahindra, and many others. The event concluded with 2,500+ job offers, with numbers still increasing as employer evaluations continue.
