The event was organised to acknowledge and appreciate the exceptional contribution of training partners, whose collective efforts have resulted in over 3,000 candidates being trained and placed across leading hotels and hospitality establishments in the country. These initiatives have significantly strengthened the skilled workforce pipeline for India’s hospitality sector.

A key highlight of the interaction was the recognition of industry-funded CSR and RTD short-term training projects, which have been central to achieving this scale of impact. All the 3,000 candidates trained and placed were beneficiaries of short-term training programmes funded by the hospitality industry through these initiatives. The programmes were designed to be industry-aligned, outcome-driven, and focused on immediate employability.
The impact of these initiatives is further underscored by their strong social inclusion outcomes. The candidates trained under these programmes came from over 70 towns across the country, largely representing underprivileged and economically weaker backgrounds, with women constituting 54 per cent of the total beneficiaries. Access to structured training and assured placement opportunities has transformed not just individual lives, but entire family structures, enabling stable livelihoods, financial security, and long-term career progression in the hospitality sector.
Beyond recognition, the interaction also served as a strategic dialogue platform, where in-depth discussions were held on scaling short-term training models, expanding outreach to more cities, strengthening implementation mechanisms, and ensuring that a larger number of deserving candidates receive recognition, skills, and dignified employment in the hospitality industry.
“Industry-supported short-term training initiatives have demonstrated how focused skilling can lead to real social and economic transformation. THSC remains committed to strengthening such partnerships with The Job Plus and training partners to expand reach, improve quality, and create dignified employment opportunities for youth across the country.”
Rajan Bahadur, CEO, Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC),
“The impact of training and placing more than 3,000 candidates through industry-funded short-term training projects is deeply meaningful. These initiatives have reached youth from underprivileged backgrounds across India and have helped families move towards sustainable livelihoods. Our focus now is to scale this model further and create even larger employment outcomes in collaboration with the industry.”
Natwar Nagar, Founder, The Job Plus,
“Training partners are not implementers—they are co-creators of impact. By problem-solving every barrier to quality skilling, increasing industry participation, and breaking low-wage mindsets, we are together reshaping how young people perceive careers in service-hospitality. Our focus now is to continuously evolve into high-demand skills that the industry truly needs”.
Divya Krishan, Chief Growth Officer, The Job Plus.
The event concluded with a shared commitment from The Job Plus, THSC, and participating training partners to further strengthen industry-funded short-term training initiatives, expand outreach to underserved regions, and enable more youth to build sustainable careers in tourism and hospitality.
