New Delhi, April 2025 – The Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) has successfully concluded its flagship women empowerment initiative announced during its 10th anniversary on 31st August 2024. The program, which aimed to skill andplace 150 women in the tourism and hospitality sector, has now been fully implemented, with all 150 candidates trained and placed across prestigious hospitality establishments including Hilton Hotels, The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts,Deltin Casino & Resorts, Raffles Udaipur, Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore and other leading hospitality brands.

Each of the successfully placed candidates has secured employment with a starting monthly salary ranging between INR 15,000 to INR 25,000, offering them not just livelihood but a dignified, sustainable career path in the formal workforce.
Following the overwhelming success of the inaugural batches, THSC is proud to announce the expansion of this initiative for the year 2025. The program will now scale up to train 300 more women, reaffirming THSC’s long-term commitment to gender inclusivity and skill-based empowerment in the tourism and hospitality ecosystem.

Creating Pathways to Empowerment
This initiative is a testament to THSC’s continued mission to bridge the gender gap in a sector poised for significant growth. By offering dedicated training programs for job roles such as Guest Service Associate – Housekeeping, Front Office, and Food & Beverage Service, the program ensures that women not only enter the workforce but do so with confidence and competence.

In addition to technical training, participants also underwent intensive soft skills development covering workplace communication, teamwork, and etiquette—ensuring they are holistically prepared for real-world job environments.
