Mahindra Accelo conducts a Tree Plantation Drive in the City in association with Kayasth Parivar Pune and Radisson Blu Pune Hinjawadi

Pune, July 9, 2019: Environmental issues are a prime concern nowadays. The underlying reason for almost everything is deforestation. This has a cascade effect on the water table, soil erosion, greenhouse effect and many others. To work towards curbing this, our honourable CM Devendra Fadnavis has conducted tree plantation drives.

On Sunday, Mahindra Mahindra Accelo, a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd along with other corporates conducted a tree plantation drive in Shivajinagar, Pune. Mr. Saurabh Rao Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation, Mr. Milind Deouskar - Divisional Railway Manager, Mr. Prafulla Chandra Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Mr. Sanjay Saxena - Director Radisson Blu Pune Hinjawadi Pune, Mr. Suneel Kamthan- President of Kaystha Parivar Pune and Diwakar Srivastava Chief - Commercial Mahindra Accelo were also present at this event.

During the drive the guests along with the organisers pledged to plant 1000 saplings.The drive also gave participants an opportunity to adopt a sapling.

Mahindra Accelo, a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., is committed to focus its CSR efforts on Education, Environment & Health. Under the aegis of “Mahindra Hariyali”, Tree Plantation is undertaken. Nation wide target of planting 1 million trees involves all the Companies in Mahindra Group. Mahindra Accelo, has already built a Jr College to provide Higher Secondary Education access to Village Girls and it has also built a well equipped Play Park for village children. A walking track has been made to help villagers to walk for health in hygienic way. Under “Nanhi Kali” initiative, it is supporting appx 2900 girls from very poor families to avail education up to High School across Pune District. Company has also helped 13 village Girls to become qualified Nurse and get gainfully employed. With the help of Indian Red Cross Society Pune, Company reached out to 60 Thalassemic children and helped them with entire year’s medication expenses.
