On the occasion of Margazhi festival in Chennai, Raintree at Taj Connemara, the well-known address for Chettinad cuisine for over three decades, offers a fascinating traditional experience, with the confluence of food and arts to provide a wholesome Margazhi experience, themed as Connemara Chronicles.
Connemara Chronicles is in collaboration with Anil Srinivasan, Carnatica - a reputed arts organisation and Rakesh Raghunathan, Food Historian, Raconteur, South Indian culinary ambassador, whose vision is to showcase the rich heritage of the region to audiences across the world.
The Margazhi festival, themed as Connemara Chronicles , is a three-day sojourn celebrating music and food. Guests can revel in musical performances by Flute Brothers Heramb Hemanth on 28th , Sarvesh Karthik instrumentals on 29th , Carnatic vocals by S. Swarathmika on 30th, followed by a culinary journey curated by Rakesh Raghunathan & the Taj Connemara Executive Chef, Thomas George, that brings alive the best traditional recipes from the Thanjavur repertoire. Guests can savour Thiruvaiyaru Asoka; Badam Puri Payasam; Veg Pattanam Pakoda; Peralam Vadia; Kesari Mass; Maratha Egg Roast; Kumbakonam Kadappa; Burani Raita; Thanjavur Mutton Biranji; and Bakhar Chicken.
