Marriott International  Announces seventh  consecutive year of record organic worldwide rooms  signings in 2019, with  approximately 515,000 Rooms in the pipeline

Hong Kong – 28 April 2023 With recent’s unveiling of the 2023 MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong Macau, 6 Marriott Bonvoy restaurants – Tin Lung Heen, L'EnvolRùnMan HoTosca di Angelo, and Lai Heen – have received recognition, earning a total of 9 stars. Among them, Rùn was promoted to two MICHELIN stars. Adding to the 2022 MICHELIN and 2023 MICHELIN Guide across different cities, Marriott International’s restaurants continue to perform exceptionally. In total, 26 Marriott International restaurants in Greater China have received recognition, earning a total of 17 stars, with 5 two MICHELIN-star and 7 one MICHELIN-star restaurants, as well as 14 Selected restaurants. These restaurants embrace both Eastern and Western culinary cultures and offer guests a diverse range of flavors.

It recommends outstanding restaurants around the globe and creates a map of flavors that reaches every part of the world. The star rating of the Michelin Guide measures five aspects: quality of the ingredients used, mastery of flavor and cooking techniques, the personality of the chef in the cuisine, harmony of flavors, and consistency between visits. Like the MICHELIN Guide, Marriott Bonvoy respects cuisines from unique destinations, while also striving to bring colorful and delicious dining experiences to guests.

Rùn Promoted to Two MICHELIN-Stars

Inspired by the architecture of a traditional Chinese tea pavilion, Rùn at The St. Regis Hong Kong was promoted to a two MICHELIN-star rating in 2023. Led by Executive Chinese Chef Hung Chi-Kwong, Cantonese cuisine is interpreted in a sophisticated and contemporary take. Signature dishes include Deep-Fried Diced Wagyu Beef Puff, Black Pepper, Wok-Fried Crab Claw, Dried Shrimp, Ginger, Spring Onion, Layered Bean Curd Sheet and Double-Boiled Abalone Soup. The restaurant also hosts a tea master who curates a unique tea pairing to refine the entire exceptional dining experience for guests.
