HONG KONG, 2 December 2019 – Marriott International held its sixth annual ‘Run to Give’ charity run across 120 locations involving more than 620 hotels in Asia Pacific from August through November. More than USD500,000 was raised in support of longstanding non-profit partners as well as charities from local communities, with the participation of over 52,000 runners and volunteers in this meaningful cause.

“Extending from our Marriott’s people-first culture, we are committed to creating a sustainable impact in the communities where we do business and serve especially through the work of our hotels and Marriott Worldwide Business Councils.” said Craig S. Smith, Group President, Marriott International Asia Pacific. “Marriott Worldwide Business Councils are our powerful network of General Managers and associates across all brands and business functions to support the resiliency and development of local communities through charitable giving and volunteer activations across the globe. The Business Councils in our region also collectively organize the charity run each year, supporting the local charities in a meaningful way.”
