MASQUE TO CREATE A SPECIAL MENU WITH WORLD FAMOUS VEGAN CHEF SCOTT WINEGARD PAIRED WITH THE BELVEDERE SPRITZ COCKTAIL COLLECTION
Masque curates an all-natural Plant Kitchen to celebrate World Earth Day
Mumbai’s pioneering fine-dining restaurant Masque – where every dish is a celebration of locally sourced ingredients and exemplifies the spirit of botanical bistronomy, harnessing regional produce to create a seasonal menu, is set to orchestrate a creative collaboration with some of the most acclaimed names in the field. The next in their playbook is slated for this April, where celebrated vegan chef Scott Winegard will join the Masque team to create a special10-course vegetarian meal paired with the Belvedere Spritz collection that will be served over two days.
Celebrating the concept of a nature inspired palate that coincides with World Earth Day, Masque will install a stunning live Plant Kitchen. Ingredients planted on this kitchen will be incorporated as a part of the food by Scott Winegard.
Offered over dinner on 22 April and both lunch and dinner on the 23rd, the menu will marry Masque’s philosophy of infusing the country’s abundant produce to create a seasonal menu with international flair, and Winegard’s penchant for making the most of every aspect of plants in his dishes. Combined in their love for artisanal food using seasonal ingredients, Masque and Winegard will showcase how wholesome and delectable vegetarian, vegan food and cocktails can be. To amplify the experience, diners will be encouraged to pluck fresh micro-greens and herbs from the plant installations placed around the restaurant.
After stints at Noma, Nasturtium, and as Chef de Cuisine of Pure Food and Wine in New York, Winegard is currently director of culinary operations for celebrity plant-based chef Matthew Kenney’s growing empire, which includes restaurants like Plant Food and Wine in Venice Beach, California.
Speaking about this collaboration Chef Prateek Sadhu says, “Chef Winegard is famous for the simplicity of letting quality ingredients speak for themselves. In a climate of growing conscientiousness about our food, diet and sustainability, his visit is nothing short of a milestone.”
The 10-course meal will be paired with the Belvedere Spritz cocktail collection. The cocktails embody Belvedere’s ‘naturalness’ philosophy of keeping it simple, real and clear. Conscious Food will also be on board with a smorgasbord of organic produce.
Priced at Rs. 7000++ for 10 courses and 4 Belvedere cocktails, this promises to be another unforgettable meal at Masque.
