Mercure Dwarka bags prestigious award at HICSA 2018

Mercure Dwarka has won the Best Hotel of the Year Award in the Mid-market hotel category at Hotel Investment Conference-South Asia (HICSA) Hotels of the Year Awards 2018 in Mumbai. HICSA is widely viewed by global industry leaders as the premier hospitality event for the South Asian region, valued for its networking opportunities and high-level contacts as much as for its content-rich sessions. The HICSA Hotels of the Year Awards were instituted to honour and recognise the most outstanding hotel developments in the previous year in South Asia.

The hotels were rated on the following criteria Development Cost, Construction Tenure, MakeMyTrip Ratings, Location (Access and Visibility), Location (Proximity to Demand Generators), Hotel Facade and Public Areas Guest Rooms (Interiors, Design and In-Room Amenities), F&B (Restaurants), F&B (Meeting and Banqueting), Other Facilities (Spa, Retail and Entertainment), Corporate Social Responsibility and Judges’ Discretion.

A panel of six judges comprising Dilip Puri (Founder and CEO, Indian School of Hospitality), Kapil Chopra (Chairman of the Board, EazyDiner), Manav Thadani (Founder Chairman, Hotelivate), Parikshit Choudhury (Sr. Vice President Lodging Partner Services, MakeMyTrip), Ritu Bhatia Kler (Managing Director, Total Integrated Design) and Vinay Gupta (Vice President Asset Management,

SAMHI) underwent a detailed point-based analysis model of each hotel’s ranking across various criteria.
