Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield Appoints Flavius Chettiar as Director of Operations

BENGALURU, February 2026: Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield has announced the appointment of Flavius Chettiar as its new Director of Operations. A seasoned hospitality professional with over 15 years of experience across leading luxury hotel brands, he brings extensive expertise in food and beverage strategy, large-scale operations management, and team leadership.

 In his new role at Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, Flavius will oversee hotel operations, ensuring seamless coordination across departments and strengthening service excellence benchmarks. He will be driving strategic growth initiatives aligned with the brand’s standards.

 Prior to this role, Flavius served as Director of Food & Beverage at The Westin Mumbai Garden City, where he was responsible for driving departmental profitability, enhancing guest satisfaction scores, and introducing new dining concepts across multiple outlets. His leadership portfolio included overseeing signature outlets such as Seasonal Tastes, Prego & Pronto, Eighteen Lounge, Kangan, along with in-room dining, and banqueting operations.

 He previously held the position of Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, managing operations at the 350-room flagship property. His earlier stint at the Oberoi Hotels & Resorts at Trident Bandra Kurla saw him progress through multiple leadership roles including Food & Beverage Service Manager and Banquet Manager, while his experience at The Oberoi Marrakech involved assisting with the hotel’s pre-opening operations, where he was instrumental in setting up F&B systems and training teams in alignment with brand standards.

 An alumnus of the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, Flavius Chettiar has consistently demonstrated strong operational acumen, commercial focus, and a commitment to elevating guest experiences. His track record includes achieving high mystery audit scores, driving award-winning dining concepts, and fostering high-performance teams.
