August 2025, Bengaluru: Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield is pleased to announce the appointment of Sumin Martin as the new Director of Sales.

With over a decade of experience across leading luxury hospitality brands, Sumin brings with him a proven track record in driving business growth, building client relationships, and mentoring high-performing sales teams. He joins the hotel from The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore, where he most recently served as Assistant Director of Sales, managing a diverse portfolio that included key business parks in central Bengaluru and Mumbai as a source market. His leadership was instrumental in retaining 98% of major accounts and securing new business in 2024.

Previously, Sumin held leadership positions with Conrad Bengaluru and Park Hyatt properties in Hyderabad and Chennai, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening corporate, MICE, and travel trade segments. He began his career with Taj Hotels, where he gained a strong foundation in client management and revenue development. Along the way, he has been recognized for his ability to design impactful sales strategies, execute complex RFP processes, and nurture long-term partnerships in competitive markets.

An MBA in Sales and Marketing from Amity University and a graduate in Hospitality & Hotel Administration from IHM Chennai, Sumin combines academic rigor with practical industry insights. Certified as a Hospitality Trainer, he is also passionate about mentoring teams and shaping the next generation of hospitality leaders. 

In his new role, Sumin will spearhead the sales strategy for Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, further enhancing its market leadership and client engagement.
