BENGALURU, 21^st January 2026: With over 11 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Peter brings with him a strong understanding of people management, team engagement, and building workplace cultures that are both inclusive and performance-driven. His appointment comes at a time when the hotel continues to strengthen its focus on employee experience and long-term organisational growth.

Peter began his career as a Talent & Culture Executive at ibis Bengaluru City Centre and went on to work across ibis hotels in Chennai and Coimbatore. Over the years, he has built hands-on experience across key HR functions, gaining a well-rounded perspective on people operations within hotel environments. He later returned to ibis Bengaluru, where he further developed his leadership capabilities and strategic approach to people and culture.

Passionate about creating a positive and transparent work environment, Peter believes in accessibility, open communication, and building a culture where teams feel supported and motivated to grow. His approach is rooted in maintaining core brand values while introducing thoughtful, progressive people practices that benefit both employees and the organisation.

Peter is an alumnus of St. Joseph’s Institute of Management and holds an MBA in Human Resources. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management from St. Philomena’s College, University of Mysore. His academic background, combined with his practical industry experience, equips him well to lead People & Culture initiatives at Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall.
