With over 18 years of experience within Marriott Hotels, Manu brings a sharp strategic mindset, commercial insight, and a collaborative management approach that consistently delivers measurable results.
Prior to this appointment, Manu served as Hotel Manager at Fairfield by Marriott Rajajinagar(Bangalore), where he steered the property’s operations with precision, significant financial outcomes, and enhanced guest engagement through synchronized analytical planning and strong cross-functional coordination. Throughout his career, he has held influential positions such as Director of Operations at Indore Marriott Hotel and Director of Food & Beverage at Goa Marriott Resort & Spa. His professional journey has been marked by sustained revenue growth, robust food and beverage performance across properties, and consistent enhancement in guest experience, resulting in noteworthy operational excellence and commercial success.
Recognized for cultivating motivated and accountable teams, Manu views leadership as the ability to inspire growth and unlock potential. His focus on mentoring talent and fostering confidence among associates has distinguished him as a respected industry professional.
His achievements have earned esteemed industry accolades including recognition among Hotelier Web’s Power 25 F&B Leaders – AP, Middle East & Africa. He has received honors such as Manager of the Year and Best F&B Leader, along with nominations for esteemed distinctions including GM of the Year (Midscale Category), the Sabre Hotelier Award, the EDGE Award, and the Worldwide Business Council’s Manager of the Year.
In his new role at Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata, Manu will lead the property’s strategic direction with emphasis on curated guest journeys, strengthened workforce engagement, and enhanced culinary positioning within Kolkata’s vibrant dining landscape. A key focus will be to further establish the hotel’s restaurants as leading gastronomic destinations, while reinforcing service standards that keep the property among the city’s most desirable hospitality landmarks.
Outside his professional commitments, Manu cherishes moments with his one-year-old, which he considers the highlight of his day. A passionate cricket follower, he also enjoys exploring new destinations and watching films whenever time permits.
