Kathmandu (August 15, 2025) — Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu is pleased to announce the appointment of Souvik Dutta as the new Head Chef. Hailing from Kolkata, India, Souvik brings over 14 years of rich culinary expertise, leadership experience, and creative vision to the hotel’s dynamic dining offerings.

A Hotel Management graduate, Souvik began his journey with Hyatt in 2011. Over the years, he has steadily progressed through various roles, driven by a deep passion for food, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Executive Sous Chef at Hyatt Regency Kolkata. His new role as Head Chef at Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu marks a significant milestone in his distinguished career.

Among his notable accomplishments is the launch of a chef mentorship program, designed to empower junior team members through guidance in both culinary skills and leadership development. Outside the professional kitchen, Souvik is a passionate culinary explorer. He enjoys traveling to uncover diverse food cultures, reading about global cuisines, photographing food, and staying active through sports. One of his long-held aspirations is to open a restaurant of his own—where passion, creativity, and mentorship come together.
