Lakshmi joined Hyatt Regency Chennai in January 2023 as Human Resources Manager, and in a short span, she has made a remarkable impact. Known for her strategic vision, empathetic leadership, and hands-on approach, she has successfully led initiatives in talent acquisition, workforce engagement, payroll management, and succession planning. Her proactive efforts in building a culture of transparency, inclusivity, and professional growth have positioned her as a trusted leader within the organization.
Lakshmi’s career journey is a testament to her passion for people development and her ability to align HR strategies with business goals. Prior to joining Hyatt, she held significant HR leadership positions at Radisson Blu City Centre, Holiday Inn OMR IT Expressway (IHG Group), The Ascott Limited – Somerset Greenways Chennai, and Marriott International. Across these roles, she has been instrumental in shaping high-performance teams, improving employee morale, and establishing robust HR practices that have driven both employee satisfaction and organizational success.
Lakshmi has demonstrated exceptional multitasking abilities, successfully managing the operations of two pre-opening hotels while consistently delivering HR projects on schedule. Her ability to balance such complex responsibilities highlights her strong organizational skills and dedication to excellence.
Her track record includes managing HR functions for diverse workforces, strategic thinking, spearheading large-scale recruitment drives, introducing associate welfare programs such as food festivals, sporting events, and Celebrate Service Week, and creating communication forums that connect associates directly with leadership. She has also championed Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, strengthening the hotel’s bond with the community.
In her new capacity as Director of Human Resources, Lakshmi will focus on strategic workforce planning, employee well-being, leadership development, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture that empowers associates to excel.
