Ahmedabad, September 25, 2025: ITC Narmada, a luxury collection hotel in Ahmedabad recently announced the appointment of Hemant Kumar Sharma as the property’s new Head of Finance.  A cost and management accountant with at least 16-years of experience, Hemant has served some of India’s largest conglomerates in leadership roles. He comes with a diverse experience not just in hospitality but also the manufacturing and financial services sector here.

In his new role at ITC Narmada, Hemant will be responsible for leading the finance function, ensuring robust governance, efficient financial operations, and compliance with regulatory frameworks. He will also oversee financial planning and analysis, with an emphasis on enhancing value creation and supporting ITC Narmada’s long-term growth strategy in the diverse and value-driven market of Ahmedabad.

At ITC Hotels Limited, Hemant most recently held the role of Head of Finance, where he successfully manages internal audits, statutory audits, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial statements across multiple functions.

Hemant holds a CMA qualification from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), a Master of Commerce from IGNOU, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Finance) from SCDL Pune.

In the hospitality industry, Hemant has also worked with Oberoi Hotels and Resorts where he spearheaded financial planning, corporate reporting, compliance, internal controls, and strategic cost management at both property and group levels.  His tenure at Oberoi Hotels & Resorts (EIH Limited) as Financial Controller further sharpened his expertise in managing statutory compliance, cost-reduction initiatives, debt management, and guiding teams towards high-performance outcomes. Hemant has also played a pivotal role in SAP implementation, IFRS integration, and the development of internal controls and standard operating procedures.
