JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar Appoints Chef Faheem Qureshi as BarQat’s Kitchen

Mumbai, January 2026: Set within JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, BarQat continues to evolve as a specialty dining destination defined by craft and intention, further strengthening its culinary direction. The hotel has appointed Faheem Qureshi as MasterChef, entrusting him with leading kitchen operations, menu development, culinary execution, and team management at the Indian specialty restaurant.

In this role, Chef Faheem will focus on embedding strong kitchen systems at BarQat, with an emphasis on consistency, quality, and adherence to the restaurant’s regional Indian culinary philosophy. His leadership will support disciplined execution across the kitchen while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene.

With over 10 years of experience across luxury hotels and specialty restaurants, Chef Faheem brings strong expertise in Indian cuisine, banquet operations, and team leadership. He has held key culinary positions at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai, and Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality. Trained under Chef Mukhtar Qureshi and Chef Javed Qureshi, Chef Faheem is known for his structured approach to kitchen management, including quality control, SOP implementation, staff training, and pre-opening kitchen operations.
