11th March, New Delhi: The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts proudly announce the appointment of Preeti Makhija as the General Manager of The Leela Palace New Delhi. A seasoned leader with extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Preeti has been an integral part of The Leela group since 2011, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to excellence and operational expertise.

Her journey with The Leela Palace New Delhi began during the pre-opening phase when she joined as a Duty Manager. In her initial years, she played a key role in enhancing the VIP guest experience, spearheading the launch of the Royal Club Lounge, and leading The Leela Palace Services department. Her expertise and strategic vision led to her promotion as Director of Rooms and The Leela Club, which she successfully conceptualized and initiated in 2023. As the Director of Rooms, she led the front office, Spa, and housekeeping departments, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences. 

Upon stepping into the role of Hotel Manager in 2024, she took charge of the hotel's overall operations, strategy, and long-term vision, driving excellence across all facets of the property. Ms Makhija has been at the forefront of brand activations and luxury partnerships, playing a key role in driving strategic collaborations over the last few years.  From The Leela Palace New Delhi’s milestone partnership with Milan Fashion Week to high-impact associations with Louis Vuitton, Longines, and Estée Lauder and more brands, she has been instrumental in curating exceptional VIP guest experiences while generating significant revenue for the hotel. Currently, she is also working on launching a series of guest-oriented programs to further elevate The Leela’s hospitality experience.
