With a strong focus on luxury and premium hospitality, Bhaskar’s expertise spans across workforce planning, recruitment, compensation & benefits, statutory compliance, employee relations, training & development, and improving DEI outcomes by implementing targeted hiring practices, designing corporate policies and implementing rewards and recognition schemes.

 In his current role, Bhaskar plays a pivotal part in shaping people strategy, strengthening organizational culture, and aligning HR practices with business goals.

 Prior to this, Bhaskar served as the Assistant Director of HR at the Coorg Marriott Resort & Spa. Bhaskar started his career in the hospitality sector with a stint at the Trident Chennai post which he joined the Marriott group at the JW Marriott Sahar, Mumbai. His career so far has included managing a workforce of over 500 associates, being part of a pre-opening team, being responsible for key HR leadership roles and having a well-rounded perspective across luxury hospitality and corporate HR environments.

 Bhaskar has been deeply involved in several marquee pre-opening and task-force assignments, including Coorg Marriott Resort & Spa, Courtyard by Marriott Trichy, Courtyard by Marriott Shillong, Sheraton Colombo, JW Marriott Pune, and Four Points by Sheraton. He has also been nominated for the APEC Pre-Opening HR Leader Award in 2023 and 2024, recognizing his contribution to building high-performing teams and scalable HR frameworks.

 An alumnus of DG Vaishnav College, Chennai, Bhaskar holds a Master’s degree in Social Work (HR) and is known for his collaborative leadership style, people-first approach, and ability to create engaging, compliant, and inclusive workplaces. In his new role, he is expected to further strengthen Coorg Marriott Resort & Spa’s reputation as an employer of choice while supporting the resort’s long-term growth and service excellence.
