Northeast Festival is back in Delhi. The capital of the country will again experience the grandeur of Northeast India. This 7th edition of the festival is starting from November 8th. It will be a three days festival to be held at Indira Gandi Centre of Arts, New Delhi.
About this festival, the Organiser-in-Chief Shyamkanu Mahanta said that this festival is an attempt to showcase and create awareness about India's Northeast and to promote entrepreneurship and tourism. This festival will act as a bridge to bring together the different regions under one roof. This 7th edition will be a complete package of the Northeast region. It will help people in knowing the region without even visiting it. The event will host a workshop on Tribal languages, food festivals, fashion shows to showcase the tourism potential of the place.
The schedule of this festival is tightly packed with art workshop and exhibitions and will also feature Delhi's biggest food festival which will bring onto the table some of the delicious Northeastern delicacies, organic vegetables and fruits and also the processed food products of that region. There will be around 100 stalls in the festival which will give glimpses of exotic and beautiful handlooms and handicraft products. A workshop on the tribal spoken language will also be held in this festival.
