KAJU VATANA GOLE
Ingredients:
3 cups fresh shelled green peas
1 cup peeled tender cashews / soaked cashews
1 tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp hing / asafoetida
½ tsp turmeric powder
3 green chillis chopped roughly
Few curry leaves
½ tsp pepper powder
1 tsp sugar
½ cup fresh grated coconut
2 tbsp fresh chopped coriander
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil for cooking
Method:
§ Heat oil in a Prestige Durastone Kadai, once hot add mustard seeds, let them splutter.
§ Add hing, turmeric powder, curry leaves and green chillis.
§ Add peas along with tender cashews. Mix well
§ Add ¼ cup water, cover and cook for 8 – 10 minutes.
§ Add salt, sugar and pepper powder. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes till peas become soft.
§ Garnish with fresh grated coconut and coriander. And serve
