In an exclusive interview she tells us about her working mantra, journey and more....
# How do you define yourself?
I see myself as a creative disruptor with a strategic mind.
An entrepreneur who builds experiences, not just establishments. And above all, a lifelong learner who believes evolution is the key to relevance.
# How do you see women entrepreneurship growing in India, especially in the food business?
Women entrepreneurship in India is no longer emerging - it is evolving into leadership. In the food and hospitality space, women are moving beyond home kitchens into boardrooms, brand creation and large-scale operations. The food business demands emotional intelligence, attention to detail, resilience and adaptability, qualities many women naturally nurture.
What excites me most is that today’s women entrepreneurs are building structured, scalable businesses and not just passion projects. They are blending creativity with commercial acumen.
# When did you actually think of entering into hospitality industry? What inspired you?
Hospitality was never a sudden decision for me; it was an organic progression. I have always been deeply inspired by spaces, how they make people feel. Food, ambience, storytelling and service together create experiences that stay with you.
When I saw the opportunity to shape dining culture, I realized I didn’t just want to be part of the industry, I wanted to redefine it.
# Tell us about your strength and expertise that helps you in running your business?
My greatest strength lies at the intersection of creativity and discipline. I understand aesthetics because of my background in Arts and Interior Design, but I also respect structure, numbers and operational strategy.
I focus on concept clarity, guest psychology and execution precision. In hospitality, details are everything - from lighting to plating to music tempo. I believe in immersive experiences backed by strong systems.
# What is your vision for your brand?
My vision is to create hospitality experiences that are emotionally memorable and commercially sustainable. I want every brand I build to have a distinct identity, not just a menu. Whether it is a fine-dining restaurant or a vibrant café, it must tell a story. The future of hospitality lies in experiential depth, not just expansion.
# Indian diners are becoming more demanding and aware of ingredients and cuisine. How are you meeting the needs of evolving customers?
Today’s diners are informed, global and curious. They value authenticity, quality sourcing, and transparency. We constantly research global trends, study consumer behavior and adapt menus without losing cultural roots. Ingredient sourcing, presentation innovation, and well-trained teams are critical.
For me, evolution is not about following trends blindly, it is about interpreting them intelligently for the local market.
# What tips would you like to give to females aspiring to do well in this industry?
First, build competence before chasing visibility.
Second, understand that hospitality is demanding- emotionally and physically, but incredibly rewarding.
Third, never underestimate the power of financial literacy. Creativity must be supported by strong business fundamentals.
And finally, believe that you belong at the table whether it is in the kitchen or the boardroom.
# How has your journey been and what lessons have you learnt?
My journey has been transformative. From ideating to conceptualizing premium dining formats, every project taught me resilience.
The biggest lesson? Innovation requires courage. Not every idea is immediately accepted. But if your research is strong and your intent is clear, persistence pays off.
Another lesson is 'Balance'- growth is meaningful only when you grow as a person alongside your business.
# What is your philosophy of work?
Innovation thrives at the intersection of curiosity and discipline.
I believe in continuous learning, structured execution and mindful leadership. Hospitality is not just about serving food - it is about serving emotions.
# Your Personal Mantra?
“Innovation thrives at the intersection of curiosity and discipline.”
I strongly advocate Mindful Leadership, with a firm belief that sustainable growth in business must be complemented by personal well-being and continuous learning.
# Let's have a sign off message from you ?
Hospitality is not a profession for me - it is an Expression.
Travel, music, culture, and conversations constantly inspire me. I believe success is not just about 'Scale', but about 'Impact' - how many lives you touch, how many experiences you elevate and how authentically you lead.
The journey continues.....
