We follow the basic process of placing the Slip in Cards for rooms which are on Do Not Disturb and try to reach out to the guest for the appropriate time he/she requires the service. It is equally important to clean the room as the amenities placed in the rooms are sufficient for a day or two only.
We as a department use a lot of natural resources. We have adopted a few process and chemicals which are more effective and sustainable at the same time. In collaboration with Diversey, we have implemented Waterless urinal program, Soap for Hope, Linen for Life, for laundry we have implemented HELP (Highefficiency LaundryProgram) which help in saving water without affecting the quality.
Acknowledge their strength, if there is something the team member is particularly good at, we make sure to let them know, this simple gesture lets them know we appreciate what they do for the hotel.
Cross-training the team member not only adds value to the housekeeping department as a whole, but also to individual employees. When any team member is given more responsibility, they know that the hotel is putting time, effort and trust into their professional development. The room attendants feel more invested if they have more to offer to the hotel thus increasing motivation and loyalty. Also, we encourage the team members to avail leaves so as to maintain a work-life balance.
