Percept Weddings, the Strategic Business Unit of Percept ICE, conceptualized and executed one of
the grandest weddings of the year for Tanya Ganwani, the granddaughter of Lal Ganwani, founder of Dubai-based Lals Group with London-based Rajiv Varma. Tanya, Founder, and CEO of Burn
Activewear is the daughter of real-estate mogul Monica and Jayant Ganwani and lives between
Dubai and London.
Rajiv’s parents, Shobha and Moni Varma are the owners of Veetee Foods, one of the largest rice companies in the United Kingdom. The grand wedding was held in Montreux, a jewel in the Swiss Riviera, and saw over 400 distinguished VIP guests fly in from all corners of the globe to attend four days of gala celebrations.
The build-up to this gala wedding commenced with an elegant and beautiful Roka Ceremony which
was a small affair that only witnessed close family and friends gather at the Emirates Hill residence to bless the soon to be a married couple. The intimate ceremony saw modern and traditional decor
elements that added to the beauty of the gorgeous engagement celebration. While the poolside was
decorated with marquee lights that read #TanysRaj and fresh petals, the rest of the area was decked
in floral stings, picturesque floral arrangements, and even a concept bar.
The Wedding Celebrations in June 2018 were spread over a 4 day weekend across the palatial
Fairmont Le Montreux Palace and Grand Hotel Suisse Majestic, and saw over 400 guests fly in from London, Dubai, India and all quarters of the globe. Prominent VIP Guests included Rita and Sunil Vaswani, Robert Vadra, Kamal Fabiani, Rajiv and Kavita Singh, Pawan and Aneisha Munjal, Sandeep and Namco Chaddha, Pernia Qureshi, Kanika and Rishi Sanger, Sherina Dalamal and Kajal Fabiani.

The gala Welcome Dinner saw the popular Music group ‘The Fellas’ serve up the perfect blend
of the soul, funk, and hip-hop thump and saw all the guests shake a leg as they grooved to silky, soulful vocals and a vast playlist of classic and contemporary numbers.
The Mehendi ceremony was designed along a fun and colorful European style Carnival theme. With
snow-laden peaks serving in the background and beautiful palm trees in front, the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace served as the perfect venue for this stunning ceremony.
Vibrant flowers and vivacious carnival themed decor was used to bring the entire venue to life, with the snow-capped mountains posing as the perfect backdrop to the effervescent musical setup.
This was followed by a gala Sangeet which saw the duo host a memorable bash with talented artists
Sukhbir Singh belting out his most popular numbers, the incredibly talented Asian British Music
Dhol artists whip up a musical storm, followed by popular Indian rapper and music composer Badshah filling the Swiss night air with music, mirth, and dance.
The Baraat was an action-packed, high-octane procession along the picturesque country lakeside.
The Groom was transported in a decorated vintage car with a DJ Truck and Dhol players building up the tempo. The Grand Wedding was held at the outdoor venue of the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace with the entire palatial hotel being decorated in beautiful shades of pink and white. Anesthetic
