Noble Initiative by Novotel Hyderabad Convention Center & HICC

AccorHotels, one of the world’s leading hotel operator has always been committed towards sustainable hospitality. The group established Planet 21, a sustainable development program in the year 2012 which has concrete and quantitative objectives related to local sourcing, diversity, water, energy and waste management. Living up to their commitments every year, 21st April has been celebrated as the Planet 21 Day with activities re-emphasizing on the common goal of creating a sustainable environment.

To mark the occasion, Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC organized a blood donation camp, free health checkup, pollution check for vehicles and a healthy and organic lunch for its employees. Keeping in tune with employees health, an organic buffet spread of salads, juices and food was organized at staff cafeteria at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre.

The team at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC was made aware about how they can reduce the carbon footprint by being more vigil and create better surrounding. Company, believes that a healthy employee creates better work environment. Keeping this philosophy in mind, a detailed free medical camp was organized for basic health checkups that included BMI, eyes and dental checkups. Further, medical experts shared preventive measures with the team to ensure their good health and help guests in time of their need.

The 15-acre complex that encompasses the hotel and convention centre has been winning the Best Landscape Award by the State Government for eight times in a row, underlining the team’s dedication and work towards green earth and safe surroundings. Hence keeping its commitment towards Planet 21 – AccorHotel’s initiative for sustainable development.
