Bengaluru, 21st November 2023: Monkey Bar - India’s first and favourite gastropub, is set to launch a special coffee programme curated especially for coffee connoisseurs in the city. Kicking off their new coffee programme, Monkey Bar brings you a special tasting & brewing session by Vintage Coffee Roasters - the brand's official estate & roaster partner. Scheduled for Sunday, 26th November 2023, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the occasion will feature a gathering of prominent coffee enthusiasts for a unique networking experience.

Curated by World On A Plate (WOAP), the event kicks off with an introductory pour-over tasting session, followed by a session that leads audiences through discussions on topics such as Robusta and Arabica farming, the production of high-quality beans, various processing techniques, the significance of roasting, and more. The event wraps up with a Barista-led walkthrough, presenting unique coffee-making techniques, including the hand-pressed espresso, and providing an overview of the Monkey Bar coffee menu tasting.

Crafted using the signature Monkey Bar blend, the newly introduced Monkey Bar Coffee Menu available at their dedicated coffee bar is divided into three categories: The Usual Suspects, You Do Your Brews, and The Unusual Suspects. The Usual Suspects comprise classics such as Espresso, Americano, Cafe Cubana, Monkey’s Honey Vanilla Latte, and more. In You Do Your Brews, patrons have the opportunity to customise and refine their coffees from various estates like Ratnagiri Estate, Baarbara Estate, Kaimara Estate, using methods such as hand-pressed, AeroPress, French press, or pour-over. The Unusual Suspects category presents a unique and exciting range, including Nitro (cold brew infused with nitrogen), Banana Cream Cold Brew (housemade cold brew with fresh banana cream), and more.

Vintage Coffee Roasters crafts coffees that boast a distinctive array of flavours and taste profiles, encompassing subtle hints of spice, fruity undertones, and floral notes. This shade-grown coffee possesses unique characteristics in terms of taste, flavour, aroma, and mouthfeel, a result of the intricate interplay between technique and terroir. The culmination of these factors is evident in the Monkey Bar blend, a perfected concoction employing a 200-year-old technique utilising a robust belt grinder. This method imparts sweet, chocolatey, and nutty notes to the blend, accompanied by gentle acidity.
