London; October 28, 2021: Madhya Pradesh Tourism will showcase its diverse tourism experiences at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2021 that will be held in London from 1st to 3rd November. At WTM 2021, RARE India, a community of some of the finest conscious luxury hotels and experiences in the Indian subcontinent, will showcase its impressive collection of wildlife lodges and camps in the state at the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Stand.

Madhya Pradesh, affably called the heart of India, lies relatively unexplored. Its architectural marvels, intangible heritage, cultural diversity and outstanding natural beauty offer a myriad of experiences for every kind of traveller. While vibrant cities of Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior resonate with old world charm, impressive UNESCO World heritage sites in Khajuraho, Sanchi and Bhimbetka invite the visitors to celebrate their timeless beauty. Lush forests, rocky hills, vast meadows and grasslands are home to a variety of flora and fauna that include several species of birds, reptiles, insects and mammals including the much-loved Royal Bengal Tiger.

Speaking about the travel trade show, Mr. Sheo Shekhar Shukla, the Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, said, “Madhya Pradesh Tourism is uniquely positioned to welcome international travellers back in the post-Covid scenario with various new initiatives including rural and agri-tourism which we will launch at the World Travel Market. The friendly people of Madhya Pradesh are eagerly looking forward to showcasing their extensive wildlife offering, exquisite traditional culture, rich heritage, cuisine, and Indian hospitality,”

RARE India has an impressive collection of conscious luxury lodges and camps in Madhya Pradesh, each thoughtfully designed to blend into the surrounding natural landscape encouraging gentle exploration of uniquely immersive experiences on foot, by cycle and jeep and by canoe and boat. The collection includes Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge, Jamtara Wilderness Camp in Pench, Kathiwada Raj Mahal, Kipling Camp in Kanha, Sarai at Toria near Khajuraho and Panna, Bori Safari Lodge in Satpura, Jehan Numa Retreat in Bhopal and Reni Pani Jungle Lodge in Satpura. Ms Sejal Gopuikar, who heads the RARE UK Office and is the company’s Director-International Sales & Marketing, will meet visitors at the Madhya Pradesh Tourism stand AS 438 at WTM 2021 and update them about the RARE India partner lodges and camps in the state as well as the myriad tourism experiences available in Madhya Pradesh.

Speaking about RARE India’s participation in the upcoming event, Ms Sejal Gopuikar said, “After a two year hiatus, it is absolutely great to participate in the World Travel Market London 2021. I’m excited to have the opportunity to reconnect and talk to the trade and press about RARE, a collection of some very special places to stay in the Indian subcontinent, centred around Conscious Luxury Travel and the RARE Touchstones – a path towards Sustainable Tourism. If anything, the pandemic has taught us all

to put people and planet first and to be mindful of all our choices, something RARE has advocated since its inception in 2004.”

“RARE marks its presence in Madhya Pradesh with Friends of the Forest – an impressive collection of lodges and camps each thoughtfully designed to blend into the surrounding natural landscape encouraging gentle exploration in and around the national parks. The land to key ratio at these properties naturally ensures limited guest numbers and easy social distancing making them a preferred choice in current circumstances,” she added.
