Relish the season’s special Sankranti menu by Travel Food Services exclusively at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport

Mumbai, 13 January 2020: Here is a shout out to all flying out of the Mumbai Airports! Travel Food Services (TFS) brings to you some exquisite regional delights this festive season. The exclusive menu will be available from the 12th to the 17th of January at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, both at the Domestic & the International Terminal as well. Makar Sankranti is a harvest festival and is joyfully celebrated all over the country including Mumbai. On this day people exchange multi-colored halwa (made from sugar and nut butter) and til-gul laadoo (sweetmeats made from sesame seeds and jaggery).

This Makar Sankranti, dive into a lip-smacking menu at The Curry Kitchen which is offering travelers two pieces of Til Ke Ladoo a healthy, delicious sweet prepared with sesame seeds, jaggery, peanuts and desiccated coconut with their thali.

The Travel Club lounge will cater a special buffet round the clock, with delicacies like Sabudana Wada with Kakdi Koshimbir a deep fried Maharashtrian snack made from potatoes and sago along with a cooling cucumber curd dip; Baingan Pakoda crispy fried indulging snack made mainly with chickpea flour and eggplant; Seviyan Kheer a sweet milky pudding made with vermicelli, milk and butter.

At Terminal 2 you can enjoy a special buffet at the Domestic and International Lounges throughout the day. Treat yourself to some exquisite festive delicacies such as Ven Pongal a protein packed rice dish with an intense aroma of ghee amongst other spiced ingredients; Undiyu a mix of seasonal green vegetables cooked with fresh spices and dunked in oil; and indulge your sweet tooth with melt-in-the-mouth Puran Poli, a sweet flatbread stuffed with chana daal (chickpea lentils) and gud (jaggery).
