Bengaluru, 16th January 2026: The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) Bengaluru Chapter will host an Inclusion • Knowledge • CSR Evening on Monday, 19 January, bringing together restaurateurs, industry leaders, and social change makers to spotlight inclusive employment practices within the food and beverage sector.
The event will take place at The Bier Club, Lavelle Road, from 5:00 PM onwards, and will feature Ms Alina Alam, Founder of Mitti Café, as the keynote speaker.
Alina Alam is one of India’s most respected social entrepreneurs and a leading voice for disability-inclusive employment. She founded Mitti Café with a clear vision—to create dignified, sustainable livelihoods for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a professionally run hospitality model. Her work has garnered national and global recognition, positioning India as a benchmark for inclusive practices in the food and beverage (F&B) industry.
A key highlight of the evening will be a knowledge session on “Integrating Highly Abled Individuals into the F&B Workforce”, offering practical insights for restaurant operators on building inclusive teams. This will be complemented by a live demonstration by Mitti Café’s star-performing team members, showcasing excellence in service and operations.
The session will be facilitated by Mr Rezwan Razack, Co-Founder and Joint Managing Director of Prestige Group. Beyond his leadership in real estate, Mr Razack is internationally respected for his contributions to numismatics and, in 2025, became the first Indian to be inducted into the International Bank Note Society Hall of Fame.
Through this initiative, the NRAI Bengaluru Chapter aims to encourage structured and sustainable employment opportunities for highly-abled individuals across its member outlets, reinforcing the hospitality sector’s role as a catalyst for social impact.
Commenting on the initiative, Ananth Narayan, Head–NRAI Bengaluru Chapter said, “Hospitality is fundamentally about people, and inclusion must translate into real opportunity. Through this initiative, NRAI Bengaluru aims to encourage structured, sustainable employment for highly-abled individuals across our member restaurants, strengthening the industry with empathy, skill, and long-term impact.”
The evening will conclude with industry networking and interaction, celebrating shared values of purpose, collaboration, and people-first growth—reflecting NRAI’s vision of building an F&B ecosystem where ability defines opportunity and inclusion becomes standard practice.
