The Chinese New Year is one of the most significant and vibrant celebrations in Chinese culture, lasting up to 16 days. From 10th to 25th February, EEST invites guests to revel in the festivities and indulge in a sumptuous feast featuring traditional favourites and innovative delights.
"Xīnnián kuàilè!" - Happy New Year! EEST is thrilled to honour this auspicious occasion by offering a specially curated menu that reflects the rich heritage and flavours of Chinese cuisine. The Menu at EEST features an exquisite 5-course meal for vegetarians and non- vegetarian, each bursting with flavour and symbolic significance.
For the meat lovers starting with appetisers, savour the succulence of Country Chicken with Sichuan Chilli Oil, a cold chicken salad infused with chilli oil and sesame seeds, or delight in the Golden Garlic Prawn, wok-tossed tiger prawns seasoned with black pepper and five spice. As you wait for the mains, indulge in Chicken Pan Fried Shanghai Dumplings and Cordyceps Soup with Chicken. For those craving the bold flavours of lamb, the Peking Style Lamb Chops offer a succulent experience, perfectly grilled and bathed in a black pepper sauce. Seafood aficionados can relish the delicate flavours of the Steamed Sea Bass in Cantonese Sauce and Stir Fried Lettuce.
Meanwhile, vegetarians can indulge in the crispiness of Crispy Okra Chilli, lady finger tossed with fresh chilli, garlic, and soy sauce, or the sweetness of Honey Chili Lotus Stem, thinly sliced lotus stem coated in honey and slow-cooked red chilies. Guests can indulge in Pan Fried Shanghai Dumplings with assorted vegetables and Chu Vai Tang soup. For the mains, Mapo Tofu provides a comforting option with silken tofu stir-fried with bamboo shoot, shiitake mushroom, and chilli bean sauce, while Asparagus & Water Chestnut in Ganlanchai Sauce presents a delightful medley of asparagus, water chestnut, Chinese olives in a savoury sauce and Stir Fried Lettuce.
Complementing the main courses are vegetarian and non-vegetarian staples like Yangzhou Fried Rice & Burnt Garlic Vegetable Fried Rice. Lastly, the dessert features the signature Tian Mi - honey noodles served with ice cream, promising a sweet conclusion to the festive feast.
The Chinese New Year Special Menu is priced at INR 4000 plus taxes for the non-vegetarian selection and INR 3000 plus taxes for the vegetarian selection per person.
