New Update
Sabyasachi for Nilaya by Asian Paints has collaborated with  The Leela Palace Bengaluru to elevate the design aesthetic at  ZLB 23 with the Heartland Collection.

Two iconic Indian brands, Asian Paints and The  Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts have collaborated  to bring to you ZLB 23, a Kyoto inspired speakeasy  at The Leela Palace Bengaluru.

The hideout’s surreal décor and theatrical  concoctions evoke an absinthe dream. With its  hidden entrance, vintage décor and speakeasy  style, ZLB 23 transports guests back in time to  the era of prohibition. This urbane space reveals  an atmosphere of transcendental glamour where  gatherings are held over remarkable dining and  prohibition cocktails.

Fittingly then, fabrics from the Sabyasachi for  Nilaya by Asian Paints’ Heartland Collection have  been used to dress the space. For the Heartland  Collection, consisting of over 180 fabrics across 5  collections, is inspired by the travels of designer  Sabyasachi Mukherjee and an artistic tribute to  Vrindavan, North Africa, Jaipur & Bengal.

Using a versatile plethora of textures, motifs and  patterns across velvets, linens and many more – the  décor of ZLB 23 abundantly features fabrics from  the Heartland Collection. From the Winchester  chair upholstered in Gulbag Velvet that greets you

at the entrance, to the Chesterfield furniture inside  and the weighty velvet drapes that curtain off the  space in between – there’s much that grabs the eye  and complements the 1920s speakeasy aesthetic.

The Sabyasachi for Nilaya range in furnishing  fabrics, underscores Asian Paints’ foray into home  décor, assisted with a large spectrum of products  available across categories in fabrics, furniture,  lighting and many more. Each pattern and motif,  print and embroidery, found in the Heartland  Collection is also heavily imprinted by traditional  Indian artisanal forms – another commonality  it shares with the ways of Kyoto where much  importance is placed on the perfection of  handmade art and craft.

This collaboration, between Asian Paints and  ZLB23 at The Leela Palace Bengaluru, then,  promises to be a space that brings together the best  of the East and the West; where guests can literally  speak easy.
