Savour an Exquisite Truffle-inspired Menu at Shangri-La Bengaluru

(Bengaluru, 6th July 2023) Perched on level 18 with a breathtaking city view, Caprese - the authentic Italian restaurant at Shangri-La Bengaluru, is excited to captivate diners with an exclusive host of Truffle-flavoured delicacies as part of the Truffle Weekend from Friday, 14 July 2023 until Sunday, 16 July 2023. Crafted by the Executive Chef, Nishesh Seth, this limited-edition menu brims with a selection of dishes featuring locally-sourced truffles from regions of Karnataka while showcasing the brand's commitment to sustainability through its 'Rooted in Nature’ programme. 

The à la carte menu begins with an array of flavoursome dishes from Asparagi Verdi Tartufo, where green asparagus is delicately enhanced by a parmesan truffle butter sauce to the Prosciutto e Melone showcasing a delightful combination of cured ham, melon, truffle, and black olive emulsion, beautifully garnished with rocket leaf. Soup lovers can savour the Truffle Mushroom Cappuccino, an enchanting blend of truffle froth and porcini dust, while the Vellutata di Zucca Funghi e Capesante offers a creamy pumpkin soup enriched with mushrooms and scallops.

For the main course, dive into a plethora of Italian flavours brilliantly executed by Chef Nishesh and his culinary cohort. Choose from vegetarian selections including Tartufata, a harmonious combination of mozzarella, truffle, and porcini mushrooms or the Fettuccine al Tartufo with a boast of homemade fettuccine enveloped in a rich norcia black truffle and apennines pecorino cheese sauce or Risotto Alla Piemontese, a beautiful ensemble of carnoli rice, parmesan and black truffle. 

Non-vegetarians can savour the Pollo al Piemontese, where free-range chicken is elevated with a delectable black truffle sauce and herb polenta. Another enticing choice is the Tagliata di Bufalo, offering succulent grilled tenderloin paired with edamame, pearl onion, and truffle dauphinoise potato. 

Cap off the dining experience on a sweet note with decadent dessert choices, including Truffle Cheesecake, Torta Caprese, and the talk-of-the-town Pistachio Tiramisu. Complementing the menu, enjoy a variety of unique Truffle-infused cocktails meticulously crafted by in-house mixologists.

In addition to the à la carte menu, diners can opt for a degustation menu to ensure a comprehensive truffle experience. This thoughtfully curated menu is offered in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian variations and showcases selected choices from the à la carte menu.
