(Bengaluru, 19 January 2024) Shangri-La Bengaluru's award-winning Indian restaurant Ssaffron is proud to present a brand new menu featuring a vibrant array of dishes that capture the essence of India’s diverse culinary traditions. From the bustling streets of Delhi to the regal kitchens of Hyderabad, the new menu takes diners on a journey through India's rich flavours and aromas.
Chef Pankaj and his team of experts have combined their creative skills to conceptualise a menu full of traditional and nostalgic Indian dishes. Starting with a celebration of Indian Chaat culture, diners can enjoy Darya Ganj Ki Aloo Chaat, Jodhpuri Mirchi Wada, Banarasi Gol Gappe and Jhal Muri, reminiscent of the bustling street fare.
A gastronomic journey at Ssaffron remains incomplete without savouring the irresistible allure of the Tandoor-cooked appetisers. Delving into the culinary archives, Ssaffron presents an array of kebabs from a bygone era, in the timeless flavours of Murgh Tikka Patiala, the succulent Hyderabadi Pathar Ka Gosht, the regal Sikandari Raan and flavourful Gulfami Tangdi Kebabs, among other delectable choices. For those with a more intricate palate, the menu boasts a collection of artisanal kebabs, such as Aloo Nazakat, Amritsari Chatpate Mushrooms, delicate Nadru Ke Kebab and the aromatic Nizami Pudine Ki Seekh.
To round off the experience, diners can relish Dhaba-style Kadhai Paneer, Paneer Kundan Kaliyan, Rasila Rajma, Gucchi Noorani, Awadhi Murgh Korma, Nalli Nihari, Goan Prawn Curry and an array of slow-cooked Dals. Diners can pair these delicious mains with a selection of bread, including a variety of Naans, Parathas, Kulchas and Rotis. Beyond the main courses, the menu delights with an enticing array of Indian specialities like the Gosht Dum Biryani or the Nizami Tarkari Biryani, making it perfect for friends and family to share.
To end the meal on a sweet note, Ssaffron presents flavourful treats such as Mewad Malai Ghevar, Shahi Tukda, Wild Rice Payasam and Moong Dal Halwa.
