National Capital Region, May 10: Shangri-La Eros New Delhi marked Earth Day in partnership with children-focused NGO, Bal Sahyog with a visit to RB Organic Farm.
This Earth Day, a group of hotel team members and children from Bal Sahyog Orphanage visited the RB Organic Farm to understand the process of organic farming. Established in 2018, RB Organic Farm is the leading wholesaler of Kadaknath chicken eggs and Kadaknath chicken, also known as Black Chicken. Kadaknath chickens are a special rural breed that have a lot of nutritional value. The breed is controlled by specialist farmers at RB Organic Farm who allow the chickens to roam free and grow in their comfortable, spacious habitat.
Shangri-La Eros New Delhi has introduced Kadaknath chicken dishes on the restaurant menus at the hotel in support of the brand’s Rooted in Nature initiative.
Rooted in Nature, which recognizes the exciting differences in the group’s locations, is a gastronomic initiative that presents diners with locally or ethically sourced food offerings. The programme encourages culinary teams across the hotels and resorts to incorporate sustainable items from local markets into the menus, ensuring authentic flavours with every bite. Guests can identify Rooted in Nature menu items by spotting the pea shoot logo beside the dish description on all restaurant menus.
The Bal Sahyog children were extremely happy with this specially curated tour and learned a great deal about organic farming and its benefits.
