Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway Appoints Varun Babbar as the new Front Office Manager
Bangalore 06 June 2019: Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway has named Varun Babbar as the new Front Office Manager of the property. Varun will be responsible for quality services in Guest Satisfaction, Operations Management and Manpower Planning. He comes with exemplary knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry especially guest service and operations, which will enable him to establish a formidable brand presence in the market. His responsibility is to oversee the entire front office operation to maintain high standards and smooth operations at all times. Ensure regular and VIP Guests are recognised at the Front Office department. Ensure Team Members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area, and are continuously training them to learn and understand policies and practices.
Varun has an overall experience of over 9.5 years that includes proven abilities in devising strategies to augment business, promote service standards for business excellence with verifiable year on year success in achieving revenue and business growth objectives in highly competitive environments. He has been part of renowned 5-star properties throughout his career, which made him a highly result driven individual with seamless track record. Varun has been part of pre-openings for JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar and JW Marriott Jaipur and has first-hand experience of setting up the department, policies and procedures.
Varun began his career in 2010 as a Guest Service Officer with Taj Palace Delhi and then moved on to The Imperial, New Delhi in 2010 working as an Assistant Manager, Front Office. Later in 2013 he joined Dusit Devarana, Delhi as a Duty Manager. After his stints in Delhi, he took up
the opportunity to explore Mumbai and joined JW Marriot Mumbai Sahar as a Front Desk Manager in 2014 and he also assisted JW Marriott South Beach Singapore pre-opening team as an Assistant Front Office Manager on taskforce in 2017. Later in 2017 he got an opportunity to join JW Marriott Jaipur Resort & Spa as a Front Office Manager and in 2018 he joined Hyatt Regency Chennai as a Front Office Manager prior to joining Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway.

Varun holds a degree in Bachelor of Science, Hospitality and Hotel Administration – Institute of Hotel Management (2009). From the many, Varun has also added feathers to his hat by receiving awards like Guest Voice Champion of the hotel” for the year 2015 at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar; Best Check-in experience” amongst all Marriott Hotels in Asia Pacific Region for the year 2015 in GM’s Operations conference held in Bali, Indonesia. He also has been nominated for the prestigious Global Discipline Awards for the EDGE (Excellence in Delivering the Guest Experience) Award.
He loves to travel and explore various countries and is passionate about cricket.
