In a remarkable celebration of World Environment Day dated 5 June 2024, Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa, Mahabalipuram demonstrated its commitment to environmental stewardship by planting 258 saplings across its property and at Vadanemelli School, an institution the resort actively supports as part of its community engagement initiatives. This collaborative effort saw students from the school joining hands with resort employees to plant trees across the school grounds, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility in the younger generation.
The initiative, which involved planting two saplings for every room in the resort, underscores the propertys dedication to sustainable luxury and ecological responsibility.
