Shiro and Tea Trunk Unveil an Exquisite Yumcha Experience 

25th September 2023, Bengaluru: Shiro, Bengaluru's renowned Pan Asian restaurant, has collaborated with gourmet tea brand Tea Trunk, to craft an enchanting menu of sumptuous dumplings paired impeccably with the finest teas. The Yumcha menu offers an assorted basket of dumplings served with a pot of green tea priced at INR. 499, INR. 899 and INR. 1299 for a set of 4, 8 and 12 pieces of dumplings respectively. The menu is available at Shiro UB City between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. from Monday through Friday.

The Yumcha menu features an array of dumplings, each meticulously crafted to tantalize the taste buds. For those seeking a vibrant burst of flavours, the Chi Chow Style Dumpling offers steamed dumplings generously filled with a medley of ingredients, while the Crystal Dumpling enchants with its delicate blend of shiitake mushrooms and vegetables encased in a tender steamed wrapper. The Vegetable Wonton is served alongside a house-special Sichuan chilli oil and the Miso Vegetable Dumpling offers a rich umami experience with assorted vegetable dumplings infused with miso.

The menu also embraces the meat-loving palate with options like the Hot Basil Chicken Dumpling, which boasts spicy basil chicken flavoured with oyster sauce and elegantly wrapped in coloured wrappers. The Chicken Gyoza showcases tender steamed minced chicken dumplings, while the Har Gau introduces the sumptuousness of prawns, marinated and delicately steamed within a translucent wrapper. The Sui Mai combines the flavours speciality of chicken, prawns, and shiitake mushrooms, all expertly steamed within a delicate wonton wrapper. For a bold kick, the Wasabi Prawns Dumpling incorporates prawns mixed with wasabi mayo, wrapped in enticingly coloured wrappers.

The Yumcha menu also includes specialty bao creations like the Katsu Chicken Gua Bao, a Taiwanese-style open bao filled with panko-crusted chicken, gochujang mayo, lettuce, pickled onion, and micro greens, and the Crunchy Gua Bao which introduces a delightful contrast, featuring vegetables and onion crunch complemented by a hint of Vietnamese dip and chillies.

To complement these delectable offerings, Tea Trunk presents an array of tea selections - Mango Mint Green Tea, Chocolate Earl Grey, Jasmine Green Tea and Marigold Lemongrass. Each tea has been handpicked to with the flavours of the dumplings, creating a holistic and memorable dining experience.
