Source farm-fresh produce from the Sequel Greenhouse

19/03/2020

In uncertainty, we turn to the community – these times are no different.  With the world on lock-down due to the current CoronaVirus pandemic, it’s time to focus on staying safe – and one of the ways to encourage this is by boosting your immunity. Best known for its organic, vegan-friendly, farm-to-fork menu, Sequel, the restaurant brand founded by Vanika Choudhary, will now offer farm-fresh produce from the ‘Sequel Greenhouse’ a few hours outside of Mumbai, until both outlets in Kala Ghoda and Bandra, reopen for dine-in operations.

Sequel has been blessed with a network of passionate farmers helping to bring the best ingredients to your plate. Given the current global conditions, the farm where Sequel’s Greenhouse exists faces shutdown, thus denying the farmers of daily livelihood. Therefore, to give back to the community that generously shares its labour of love, Team Sequel is putting together baskets of bounty from the farm, loaded with the goodness of all things fresh, seasonal and healthy. Available on pre-order, the baskets will have offerings like kale, lettuce, bok choy, purple and orange sweet potato, watermelon radish, beets, assorted microgreens, heirloom tomatoes, heirloom cherry tomatoes, aji lemon and habanero peppers and organic eggs, along with immunity-boosting ginger, garlic, oregano and turmeric to help fortify immune systems and add a dash of flavour, as we all take this time to rest and regroup. The vegetable and fruits basket is priced at INR 1550.

If patrons wish, they can also add organic eggs to the basket, for a grand total of INR 2050; or essentials such as Sequel’s signature granola, house-made sauerkraut, a loaf of freshly baked sourdough bread and organic eggs, for a grand total of INR 3500, making Sequel a one-stop-shop for all your culinary needs.

Note: Orders to be placed in advance, and are available via pick-up only, from both outlets.
