About Isabella's Tapas Bar:
Isabella's Tapas Bar, Goa’s first Vermuteria, is the pioneer of vermouth culture in the city. Located in the heart of Goa, Panjim Isabella's is a haven for authentic Spanish and Portuguese cuisine, all served with homemade Vermouth. It's where tradition meets innovation, and the flavours of Spain and Portugal shine bright.
Isabella's Tapas Bar is the love child of Arati Naik, a well-established IT networker and marketer who spent many of her formative years living outside the country. Her passion for Spanish tapas has been long in the making, with a rich history of food running in her family and her in-depth acquaintance with both cooking and eating both Spanish and Portuguese food. With such a personal connection, it was only natural for the space to be titled Arati's namesake in Spanish, ' Isabella's,' which translates to 'devotion' as does Arati in the local dialect. Arati exceeds her role as a restaurateur by playing a pivotal role in the shaping of both the food and bar menu while working alongside consultant Evgenya Prazdnik behind the bar. Her patatas bravas – taught to her by a local Spanish family – have a cult following among her friends and family. Leann Pereira designed the interiors with the impressive bar as the centrepiece and classic European furniture, accessories and artworks carefully complementing it.
