Tango Tamari, a Nikkei restaurant is designed to redefine the dining experience with its artful blend of aesthetics and functionality. Situated right in the heart of Juhu, Mumbai, the restaurant is spread across 2020 sqft covering an expansive indoor and outdoor seating.
The interiors came with its set of challenges for interior designer Misbah Kapadia with an odd shaped space which she effortlessly converted into an oasis of calm with a tranquil ambience amidst the chaotic suburb.
The interior narrative of Tango Tamari weaves sophistication through its colour palette and use of textures through an array of material used in this design project. Green marble flooring exudes opulence, adorning the indoor restaurant, basement, and the enchanting al fresco dining. The Balcony, featuring a ceiling of pure white quartz, offers panoramic views and an ambiance of unparalleled allure. Every corner of Tango Tamari narrates a story of design with finesse. The plush sofa ledge seating, intricate railing enhancements, and the clever play of textured walls and ceilings in beige evoke an inviting ambiance within the balcony. Nature seamlessly integrates into the design through elevated windows housing verdant touches, infusing organic charm into the space.
The restaurant further descends to a basement which welcomes the guests into a cozy retreat with low-height windows, a captivating bar and pretty glimpses of the outdoors. The elegance of the basement is accentuated by the warmth of beige textures enveloping walls and ceilings.
The washrooms at Tango Tamari are also given design emphasis with white quartz flooring and captivating blue textured paint, with exquisite design elements. The entrance doors, adorned with varying panel sizes and molding, lead patrons to spaces adorned with chic vanity shutters and oversized oval mirrors.
At the heart of Tango Tamari lies the main restaurant area, boasting a striking bar crowned with a white marble top and an artistic bar back showcasing a curated display of bottles. The outdoor haven offers two distinct areas—an inviting balcony adorned with veneer and wooden battens, and a verdant expanse under the sky.
The allure of Tango Tamari's outdoor sanctuary lies in its charming cane umbrellas and suspended lights, harmonizing with sofa ledge and loose seating arrangements. Adorned with architectural finesse, the exterior walls seamlessly merge with the natural surroundings, enhanced by wooden fans delicately placed throughout the space.
In every meticulous detail, Tango Tamari which is owned by Kishore David Frederick and Sarabjit Singh Keer resonates as an elegant fusion of aesthetics and functionality, inviting patrons on a sensory dining experience.
