The Big F Awards 2019 hosted last evening at The Westin, Gurgaon was all about recognizing and appreciating the talent of hospitality stalwarts across Delhi/NCR. The night was action-packed with great entertainment and many luminaries across the industry. It was one of the most spectacular evenings, as The Big F Awards 2019, announced the winners for 6th season.
The glittering evening witnessed many well-known names not just from the F&B industry, but from the entertainment industry as well. The panel of judges, gracing the occasion consisted of acclaimed Chef Nita Mehta, Chef Sabyasachi Gorai and Chef Rakesh Sethi; while the critics included food historianPushpesh Pant, food writer Osama Jalali, well-known food critic Rinku Madan and the founder of The Big F Awards and Indian Food Freak, Pawan Soni.
The leading food writer of India, Rashmi Uday Singh, top chefs of India like Manjit Gill, ChefManish Mehrotra, Ranveer Brar, Manisha Bhasin, Kunal Kapur, amongstmany others were the prominent guests of honour like Diwan Gautam Anand, Salma Hussain, Anoothi Vishal etc. Also present at the event were senior restaurateurs & hoteliers like Dilip Puri, Zorawar Kalra, Riyaaz Amlani, Rahul Puri, and many more.
A special award, Young Chef of the Year was introduced last year to honour young talent in the food industry. Chef Harangad Singh was bestowed with the honour. The award was sponsored by Chef Ranveer Brar, the winner was also rewarded with INR 50,000 cash. Major SSH Rehman was honoured with the Life Time Achievement Award for putting in decades of hard work to make the spaces succeed and bringing the revolution in the food industry. Vikrant Batra of Café Delhi Heights was awarded with the Restaurateur of the Year Award (Popular Choice) and Zorawar Kalra was awarded with Restaurateur of the Year Award (Jury) for Farzi Café, Made in Punjab etc.
The evening started off with a bang by Karan Arora(who was the emcee for the award ceremony), post which the award ceremony was held among a lot of goodwill and friendly banter.
