The Devil Wears Prada For Easter Doughnuts by Ether Atelier x Toast Doughnut Shop

Mumbai, April 13^th to 17^th: This April, the artisans at the Ether Atelier and Toast Doughnut Shop are back at it with a collaborative pop-up. After their success with translating flavours from the Classic American Soda Shoppe last year, this year they decided to take inspiration from another pop-cultural juggernaut: the iconic cult classic The Devil Wears Prada. Everything you need to know about this collaboration, Devika Manjrekar, Head Chef at Toast Doughnut Shop and Chef Prateek Bakhtiani of Ether are huge fans, some say obsessed with the iconic characters and their oh-so-quotable quips. At every meeting to build this collaboration out, the pair of them have been caught quoting the movie back and forth. What they have created from their obsessions, is four character studies posing as doughnuts around the central characters in the story: Mirande, Emily, Andy and Nigel. Breaking down each character, Miranda’s doughnut is called The Devil wears PRALINE (INR 300), the doughnut is filled with dark chocolate mocha, salted caramel & praline. “That’s all,” to aptly quote her. Emily’s doughnut is in all its glory quite English, called the cube of CHEESECAKE doughnut (INR 300), filled with cream cheese, English rose & raspberry, which we believe she would say “You look SO chic!” Nigel was a little more tricky and experimental just like his personality, the SMOKED CORN CHOWDER (INR 300), is a deliciously filled doughnut of miso corn custard and topped with grilled sweet corn. Lastly, the main character, Andy, known for eating an onion bagel in the movie and being called out for it at the high-fashion magazine office, they created the ONION BAGEL (INR 280), a brioche, filled with cream cheese and topped with onion seeds. “Can anyone spell Gabbana” for her?
