Mukund Padmanabhan is a Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the newly established Krea University, north of Chennai. Earlier, he was the Editor of The Hindu. He was appointed to the post in 2016 after having been Editor of the business daily, The Hindu BusinessLine, a sister publication of the group. Mukund has written extensively on political, legal, and literary subjects. He was an Adjunct Faculty at the A Teneo De Manila University in the Philippines, where he taught media law and advanced writing to post-graduate students. He is on the board of some charitable organizations in the media, arts, and educational spaces.
