Zero Emission Day summarizes a global call to action urging individuals and enterprises alike to curtail their carbon footprint and contribute towards mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. The Orchid Hotel Pune seized this occasion to reaffirm its steadfast commitment to environmental stewardship and rally the public in combating climate change.

The event resonated positively with the public, local media, and environmental advocates, underscoring the transformative potential of a unified community in championing awareness on critical issues such as climate change.

“The time has come to stop the emission of greenhouse gasses in any form or it will be too late. The way forward is primarily to control animal agriculture which contributes 65% of the world’s nitrous oxide emissions which has a global warming impact 296 times greater than carbon dioxide. We also need to switch to alternate energy sources that are carbon-neutral to drive our cars, light our homes, and run our factories. Our ultimate goal is not only to reduce greenhouse gasses or global warming per se but to improve the quality of life and the environment. We all want to leave the planet in decent shape for our kids.”
