‘The Terrace, A Maiden Affair’

Mumbai, January 31, 2020: The Terrace- A Maiden Affair, a franchise of Juhu's The Terrace run by Karan & Kaushal Shah, has launched in Andheri West on 24^th January 2020. An All-Day Bar, Cafe & Social Club. 

A brainchild of power couples, Nishiket Parikh and Shivani Shroff, and Kalpan Shah and Paulomi, the establishment is largely women-driven. It is spread over 2,750 sq ft and houses a 500 sq ft outdoor section. The terrace is one-of-its-kind in concept and design. The seating style is varied and eclectic with arched partitions acting as a visual element in addition to offering privacy to guests. The drop lights, inspired by jewels, are strategically placed over the seating. 

If al fresco rocks your boat, step out into the outdoor space, which is laid-back and relaxed. You can even nab a spot on the swings that have been installed. It'll make you forget you're in a chaotic city. 

The space is headed by a group of accomplished women, including cocktail stylist Vidhi Puri, founder of The Cocktail Story, India’s first cocktail community dedicated to uniting bartenders, bars, alco-bev brands, and spirit enthusiasts. She will be working with in-house mixologist Atul Mundaye. 

Nutritionist and Chef Aditi Prabhu, under the guidance of Head Chef Rakesh Talwar, has crafted the menu, which is a mix of global cuisine, ranging from prawn tempura bao to wannabe Sri Lankan fish curry. So in terms of food, it’s basically a place where you can get what you really want to as per your comfort food cravings and also to watch your diet if you want to. 

Designer Saniya Kantawala, who has aesthetically designed Aditya Thackery’s office and home, DY Patil University Campus and Bar Stock Exchange, has done the interiors. 

The restaurant interiors are bathed in a soothing shade of millennials pink, a mashup of pink and terracotta which is bright and fresh. The colour scheme has been chosen by millennials keeping in mind what millennials want. The terrace has a central glass bar with plants lined inside on one side, while the other side has the same plants painted over the central bar.
