Both the Chefs are of Thai origin, they have been brought down from Thailand to provide a special experience from their native country. Chef Chaiwat Saengsawang with over 10 years of experience, uses a modern cooking style that is a signature for him. His classic dish is the Tofu Massaman Curry, which originated in 17th century central Thailand at the cosmopolitan court of Ayutthaya, through the Persian merchant Sheik Ahmad Qomi, from whom the noble Thai Bunnag family descends. Chef Theerawat, on the other hand, comes with an experience of over 2 years, working at one of the finest restaurants around Bangkok, he has honed his skills with traditional techniques and sensibilities. He prefers a smoked cooking style and his signature dish is the Grilled Chicken with Jim-Jaew sauce.

“Thai food is known for its aromatic freshness, fervent flavours of herbs and spices, hand pounded curry pastes and indigenous ingredients. Contrary to popular belief, Thai food is more than just Pad Thai and Red or Green Curries, every region has master dishes that are yet to be explored. This is a cuisine where the balance of flavours and courses is perfect, an extensive selection of salads and soups complement the curries and stir fries. This culinary extravaganza is all set to showcase the essence of Thai gastronomy in an innovative way to the city, where guests will take home unique memories of the South-Asian food culture.”

Chef Khanna, Cluster Director of Culinary,

The ala-carte menu at the Thai Food Festival will include a variety of appetizers, signature soups and salads, such as Chargrilled Eggplant Salad, Banana Blossom Crab Meat Salad, Tom Kha Hed Soup and the Som Tum Corn. While, the mains will include an array of curries ranging from the signature Massaman Tofu Curry, Red Duck Curry, Tom Yum Prawn and Cashew Chicken, every dish has been curated with authentic Thai herbs and flavours.
