Hyderabad18th October 2019: Parag Sawhney has been appointed as the new General Manager at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace. Bringing with him over 17 years of illustrious industry experience, Parag is an outstanding hospitality professional. With his innovative thought process and proactive strategic planning, Parag has a proven record of being an ideal mentor to his associates. His primary object     tive is to enhance the overall commercial performance of the hotel by growing the market share substantially and positioning the property as a market leader in its competition set.

Parag always places customers and people first, while ensuring guest satisfaction and keeping a keen eye on quality assurance at the hotel. With his suave and tenacious personality, He has a stellar record of rationalizing costs and enhancing profitability; creating and sustaining a highly motivated work environment by empowering his team to take lead. He has a natural knack of leading from the front, inspiring his colleagues to think beyond excellence; and developing a culture of success, collaboration and excellence, which translates into superlative guest and employee satisfaction.

In his current role, Parag will be spearheading various initiatives that guarantee outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Being a passionate hotelier, a well-structured, dynamic and result-oriented professional, Parag will deliver his key priorities i.e. people, quality, process, guest satisfaction and profitability. He has proficiently developed his expertise through his tenure with leading global brands across the UK, UAE and India.

Prior to his role as General Manager at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, he was the Vice President Hospitality at MRG Group in Bangalore where he was responsible for groups for hotels and restaurants stretching across the Konkan belt from Bengaluru, Goa, Mumbai and north to Delhi NCR. A confident, committed and commercially astute leader he possesses a proven ability to exceed targets even under high pressure. 

Parag led the successful pre-opening of the 35th Conrad as Opening General Manager at Conrad Bengaluru. During his tenure at Hilton Bangalore Embassy Golf Links, he was the General Manager & Quality Lead Hilton India & South East Asia. At Hilton Chennai, he went on to helm the role of a General Manager from being the Director of Operations. He started his career with the ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton in Mumbai and then moved to Dubai to begin his stint with The Renaissance Dubai Hotel.

Parag holds a Master’s in Business Management from Oxford Brookes University, and a Bachelor of Technology in Hospitality Administration/Management from Dr. D Y Patil Institute of Hotel Management.
