● Snapdeal - E-commerce company Snapdeal is offering a variety of products that are almost impossible to find in a small town shop. Snapdeal services over 26,000 pin codes covering all parts of India. To attract more consumers from non-metros, Snapdeal is using gamification techniques like ‘spin the wheel’ and ‘scratch and earn’. These experiences are aimed at providing a bazaar-like experience on the app.
● Zomato - Zomato, an online food delivery app of India, is redefining food and restaurant discovery in over 500 cities in India. This is driven by a combination of smart promos, the growing selection of restaurants, and increasing comfort with food tech usage. The Zomato app brings utmost convenience and good quality food at the tip of their finger and in the comfort of their living space.
● Urbanclap - Initially limited to the metro cities of India, UrbanClap, a one-stop-shop for services, expanded to over 14 Indian cities including non-metros like Ludhiana, Lucknow, Vadodara, and Visakhapatnam. With the app, users can conveniently book services like electrician, plumber, carpenter, cleaner, beautician, fitness expert, among others.
● Cymatic - Cymatic app provides interactive virtual classrooms and peer learning to students of Class 8 to 12 in Tier II and III villages. The app wants to ease learning for students from backward areas. Its challenging the geographical, economic and other associated barriers in peripheral areas of the country. Cymatic is working with the Bihar and Jharkhand government to democratize education in the smaller villages of the state and aims to go pan India soon.
● BankBazaar - Bankbazaar provides instant customised quotes on loans and credit cards pan India. It has a large customer base in the non-metro cities. Bankbazaar is present in more than 1300 cities. People from non-metros of India are borrowing more personal loans than people from metros on Bankbazaar.
