~The boutique hotel is set to host an exquisite collection of paintings from The Asian Art House~

Mumbai, 3rd August 2018: As India celebrates 71 years of Independence, Sofitel Mumbai BKC in association with The Asian Art House, inaugurated a stunning art exhibition with an exquisite cocktail evening at the hotel’s very own Art Gallery. The elegant show is inspired by the theme titled “Colours of Independence,” a unique art experience that showcases a widespread canvas of Indian artworks ranging from a collection of traditional to modern pieces. The art exhibition is open for visitors and guests from 1st to 15th August, 2018.

The Indian subcontinent is famous for being the home country of many exceptionally brilliant artists, including painters, writers, singers, etc. The art of painting in India dates to the ancient times, as is evident from the cave paintings of Ajanta and Ellora. From the paintings revolving around religious topics to the abstract ones, Indian artists have a widespread canvas of work that is beguiling and mesmerizing.

One will witness the Benaras ghats come alive with Amit Bear's creations and Manoj Das’ fluent brushstrokes in this unique collection. Other notable artists showcasing their works are Bhaskar Rao Botcha, Subrata Das, and Sastry.
